It’s part of our research peptides range. It pairs with BPC-157 in the BPC-157 and TB-500 stack, and with both BPC-157 and GHK-Cu in the GHK-Cu glow stack.
What is TB-500?
Thymosin beta-4 is a 43-amino-acid protein found in almost every cell. Its main job is binding actin, the protein that forms the cell’s internal skeleton, which affects how cells move and divide. TB-500 is the name used for the synthetic research version.
Because cell migration matters so much in wound repair, thymosin beta-4 became a target for healing research in the 1990s and 2000s.
TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 research
A 2004 Nature paper by Bock-Marquette and colleagues found thymosin beta-4 helped heart cells survive and migrate after injury in mice. Other studies looked at skin wounds, corneal injury and hair growth in rodents, often reporting faster closure and new blood vessel growth.
RegeneRx ran human trials of thymosin beta-4 eye drops for dry eye and corneal damage. It isn’t FDA approved and is banned by WADA. The literature is on PubMed.

Measuring and storage
It ships as a freeze-dried (lyophilized) powder in a sealed sterile glass vial. Before reconstitution, keep vials in the fridge at 2 to 8°C, or in the freezer for longer storage, away from light.
To reconstitute, let the vial reach room temperature, then add sterile diluent slowly down the side of the glass. Swirl gently and don’t shake it. As an example, adding 2 mL to a 5 mg vial gives 2.5 mg/mL, so every 0.1 mL holds 250 mcg. Write the date and volume on the vial.
Once mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within the window your protocol allows. Most labs avoid repeated freezing and thawing of reconstituted peptide, because it can break the chains down.
Lab testing and certificate of analysis
Each batch of this peptide is tested by MZ Biolabs, an independent lab in Arizona, for identity and purity. The current certificate of analysis is dated 03/27/25 and reports 99.42% purity. Email us for the full COA if you need it for your lab records.
TB-500 FAQ
Is TB-500 the same as thymosin beta-4?
TB-500 is the common name for synthetic thymosin beta-4 sold for research.
Why is it often paired with BPC-157?
Both are studied in tissue repair models, and they’re thought to act through different mechanisms.
How should the vials be stored?
Refrigerated, sealed and away from light.
Why researchers buy from Sports Technology Labs
Most online peptide sellers don’t publish lab results, or they hide the name of the lab. We do the opposite. Every batch is tested by MZ Biolabs, an independent lab in Arizona, for identity and purity, and we list the COA date and purity on each product page. Peptides are freeze-dried in sterile glass vials and kept refrigerated until they ship.
Shipping, returns and support
Orders over $149 ship free inside the US, and express shipping is there at checkout if you’re short on time. Everything we sell is covered by a 60-day money-back guarantee. Questions about a batch, a COA or an order? Email us and a real person will answer.
