Description
Selank is a short synthetic peptide studied in Russia for anxiety and cognition. Each vial holds 5 mg of freeze-dried peptide in sterile glass.

It’s part of our research peptides range. Researchers working on neuropeptides often order it with DSIP or epitalon.
What is selank?
Selank is a seven-amino-acid peptide (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro). It’s built on tuftsin, a natural immune peptide, with three extra amino acids added to make it more stable.
The Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences developed it, and it’s registered as a medicine in Russia, where it’s given as a nasal spray. Its sister peptide, semax, came from the same institute. Both are short chains, so they’re cheap to make and easy to modify, which helped them spread through Russian research.
Selank research findings
Russian studies found it reduced anxiety-like behavior in rodents and, in small clinical trials, in patients with generalized anxiety disorder. Researchers have linked it to effects on GABA signalling, serotonin and the enkephalin-degrading enzymes.
Other work looked at memory, attention and immune function, including effects on interleukin-6 levels in animal models. It isn’t approved in the US. You can read the studies on PubMed.

Measuring and storage
It ships as a freeze-dried (lyophilized) powder in a sealed sterile glass vial. Before reconstitution, keep vials in the fridge at 2 to 8°C, or in the freezer for longer storage, away from light.
To reconstitute, let the vial reach room temperature, then add sterile diluent slowly down the side of the glass. Swirl gently and don’t shake it. As an example, adding 2 mL to a 5 mg vial gives 2.5 mg/mL, so every 0.1 mL holds 250 mcg. Write the date and volume on the vial.
Once mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within the window your protocol allows. Most labs avoid repeated freezing and thawing of reconstituted peptide, because it can break the chains down.
Lab testing and certificate of analysis
Each batch of this peptide is tested by MZ Biolabs, an independent lab in Arizona, for identity and purity. The current certificate of analysis is dated 10/17/2025 and reports 96.84% purity. Email us for the full COA if you need it for your lab records.
