What is andarine S4 liquid?

Andarine (S4, also called GTx-007) was the first SARM to get serious attention. Researchers at the University of Tennessee and GTx Inc. found that this non-steroidal molecule activated androgen receptors in muscle and bone far more than in the prostate. That discovery started the whole SARM field.

S4 is a partial agonist of the androgen receptor, so it produces a weaker maximal response than full agonists such as testosterone or DHT.

In castrated rats, S4 restored muscle and bone to levels close to intact animals. In an ovariectomized rat model of osteoporosis, 3 and 10 mg/kg a day for 8 weeks improved whole-body and trabecular bone density and reduced body fat. Cell work found it was more anabolic than DHT for osteoblast formation.

S4 also reduced prostate weight in rats about as well as finasteride, without shrinking the levator ani muscle. One effect is unusual: at higher doses it can bind receptors in the eye, causing temporary yellow-tinted vision and poor night vision. Studies are on PubMed.
