What is SR-9009 powder?
Stenabolic (SR-9009) activates REV-ERB-alpha and REV-ERB-beta, two nuclear receptors that link the body’s circadian clock to metabolism. Thomas Burris’s group at Scripps described it in Nature in 2012.
It has poor oral bioavailability, so many animal studies gave it by injection. Keep that in mind when you compare published data with your own setup.
SR-9009 powder research in animal models
In mice, SR-9009 raised energy expenditure, reduced fat mass and improved cholesterol and blood sugar. A 2013 Nature Medicine paper reported that treated mice ran longer and had more mitochondria in muscle. Other work looked at sleep, heart protection after pressure overload and lung inflammation.
A 2018 study found it was lethal to several cancer cell lines in culture, and some later papers suggest part of its effect doesn’t depend on REV-ERB. Read the studies on PubMed.
