What’s in the LGD-4033 and MK-677 stack?
LGD-4033 (ligandrol) binds the androgen receptor at around 1 nM, one of the highest affinities of any SARM, and has phase I and II human data. Ibutamoren (MK-677) is an oral growth hormone secretagogue. It acts on the ghrelin receptor and raises growth hormone and IGF-1 without touching the androgen receptor.
Ligandrol works on the androgen receptor at very low concentrations. MK-677 raises growth hormone through the ghrelin receptor. They don’t share a pathway.
Research behind the LGD-4033 and MK-677 stack
Both have been tested in people. LGD-4033 went through a 21-day phase I trial and a phase II study in hip fracture patients. MK-677 has several Merck trials behind it, including a two-year study in older adults.
